Divine Renovation

We are now well on our way with Divine Renovation. The Team have had 2 sessions with our Coach, Bill and we are now closer to firming up our Vision for St Francis Xavier’s.

Please continue to pray for the success of Divine renovation within our own parish and indeed in the many parishes throughout the world who are on the same journey.

Parish Assembly 28th February 2019

We had a full house at our parish assembly last night – thank you to everyone who came out in such great numbers. Standing room only!

The Divine Renovation approach and vision presented by Fr Jamie was caught, with suggestions and ideas already coming forward, and people offering their gifts and talents to help make the vision become reality.

Parish Merger update

The Congregation for Clergy rejected the appeal raised on behalf of St Mary of the Angels, Camelon and therefore the merger between, the parishes of St Francis Xavier’s, St Anthony’s and St Mary of the Angels has taken place.

Update on Parish Merger

St Mary of the Angels Update—After the Archbishop’s proposals to merge and close St Mary of the Angels Church two Parish meetings took place. In the meetings Parishioners voted to oppose the decree issued by the Archbishop to merge the parishes. In a further meeting a Parishioners’ Representative Group was formed. This group met on Tuesday 14th August and have initiated the appeal process to Rome after the parish received a letter from the Archbishop rejecting the petition to him to stop the merger. We will provide further updates once any new information is available.

The Archbishop intends to come to St Mary’s on 14th September at 7:00pm to celebrate a mass of Thanksgiving .

Parish Meetings

Many thanks to all those who attended the recent parish meetings in order to respond to the Archbishop’s proposal regarding the future of our parishes. This is a very difficult, uncertain and emotional process. Let us continue to pray for God’s guidance and help.
