We will come together to look at ways we can live simpler, more sustainable lives to protect and care for our common home.

Here is the Scottish Bishops Pentecost letter in video form about the climate emergency.

Blink and you’ll miss it! Season of Creation 1st September to 4th October 2021.

Pope Francis encourages us to live out the message of care for our common home by working together to create a better future.

If you would like to read the Laudato Si letter and learn more about it, then here is a great opportunity to learn with and from others.

Pope Francis published his encyclical Laudato Si on the 24th May 2015. During the last year the Global Catholic Climate movement has celebrated the importance of this document. It calls for Catholics, Christians and the whole world to have a change of heart, to acknowledge that the earth is a finite resource and that each of us is responsible for its care. All of creation is interconnected and precious, from the tiniest insect to the biggest mountain. The destruction of ecosystems, rain forests, global warming etc has occurred on our watch. We still have the opportunity to put things right by changing the way we do things, small changes add up. We are called to listen to the “Cry of the Earth and the Cry of the Poor”

Laudato Si week is the culmination of the 5th Anniversary year of the publication of the encyclical and runs from the 16th to the 24th May 2021.
